Our favorite spot

Another Saturday at the beach! We are pretty lucky to be less than an hour away from one of our favorite spots, Burleigh Beach (which I know I've mentioned quite a few times), where David grew up. It is seriously so gorgeous! It never gets old.

BABE ALERT! ;)

11/6/11

a Saturday at Currumbin Beach. This is why I love Australia!

Sunday Stroll to the Park

Halloween in the Springtime

Thank you Mom for the box of Count Chocula, candy corn, and caramels!
It made halloween so much better with these staples. We made caramel apples,
ate candy corn, and watched a marathon of scary movies!

Pumpkin carving with our besties, the Harts.

We decided to carve Voldemort. I was skeptical because we had to use kitchen
knives instead of pumpkin carving tools but wouldaya look at that pumpkin!!
We did good babe!

Ghostface & Voldemort, freaakkky!

Ghostface and Rosie the Riveter (no one got it). We were pretty lame this year on
costumes. I used what was in my closet and David was Ghostface for the 4th time.
We promise to do better next year.

EKKA.

a saturday full of football

So last Saturday, David's football team, the Yeronga Devils,  had their first game in the play offs and they won! Actually, they KILLED the other team, by about 128 points! Good job boys!

And that night we went to a professional AFL game (my first) at The Gabba with some close friends. It was Brisbane Lions vs Gold Coast Suns. We were going for the Suns, even though we live in Brisbane, because that is where David grew up. Unfortunately they are a brand new team and terrible, so they lost! Somday Suns...

At the end of the game, they let everyone run onto the field and kick footy's (er - footballs) around! How cool is that? It's crazy and pretty scary, balls were flying everywhere, I'm lucky I didn't get hit in the face.   However dear old David tried to do a specky on my back and practically broke my neck!!

7/31/11

our almost 1 yr anniversary weekend away

On our way up North to the Sunshine Coast
This was all a surprise to me. I had no idea where David was planning on taking me(!!!)

Good Morning from Noosa! It's a beautiful and quiet beach town and it was absolutely perfect!
Woke up and made some peanut butter french toast and sat out on the balcony for awhile watching the ocean. Nothin quite like a little R&R with my husband.

We went to the Emmundi Markets. It was massive! Hands down the best markets I have ever been to and oh the food!...I could have eaten all day long. Amazing.

Castaway Cove, the beach we stayed at.

A little afternoon tennis
Awkward face much, Courtney?

Spur of the moment stop over at Mooloolaba Beach
