Knicks @ The Garden // The M&M Factory

Just a few other things we did...

PS check out that diva in the top left corner at the M & M Factory. She was legit and obsessed with David. All she wanted was a picture with him. Haha too funny.

Izzy & Nats

This place is hands down, one of the best restaurant/cafes I have ever been to! It is so dang cute and the food is AMAZING! Seriously -- we went there like 5 times. Please, if you ever go to NY,
go to Izzy & Nats in Battery Park.

Order the... hot chocolate,
pastrami sandwich,
french toast (the best i've ever had),
and the hashbrowns w/pastrami

You will thank me ;)

the tourist-y stuff

Bubba Gump Shrimp (the restaurant). A first for the both of us and it did not disappoint! Very good food. We decided to go there after we walked by and I had to explain Forrest Gump's relation to Bubba Gump Shrimp (I think David is the only one on the planet who hasn't seen the movie).

isn't he just a great poser? haha

No relation! Just the same name as Grandpa Allen.

With a view of Time Square. Pretty cool!

Times Square.

One night we got talked into going into the Ripely's Believe it or Not! place, just to kill an hour. It was actually pretty fun despite the fact that the place gave me the creeps! It was all the scary facts. It felt more like a haunted house but we had a good time and got a pretty good laugh out of it!

Jersey Boys

We saw Jersey Boys on Broadway and it blew my mind! The music was so great! For those who don't know, Jersey Boys is a play based on the band, Franky Valli and the Four Seasons. They have hits like "Oh What a Night" "Big Girls Don't Cry" "Walk like a Man" "Grease" "My Eyes Adored You" and about a million more. I have heard all these songs before and never thought much of them, or really even knew anything about the band, but after watching that play I became such a fan! Their story is interesting and extremely entertaining and the actors had incredible voices. We pretty much haven't stopped singing since that first night.

*disclaimer...one thing I wasn't very impressed with was the swearing. I was surprised when I first heard it but then I remembered the play consisted of a bunch of boys from Jersey (have you ever seen Jersey Shore?). It was such a great play but I am just throwing that out there in case anyone ever wants to see it!

"David, can we move into a hotel...please?"

The plane ride to NY...
Killing time playing sudoku and solving crossword puzzles from the US Airways magazine.

Our hotel was off the heezyyyy. So my Dad's company has a lot of its work in NY for the next few years. He was here for the week on a business trip and offered to let us crash in his hotel room (I know--he's the nicest). It was a lot of fun getting to spend more time with my pops, I really have missed him so much.

We arrived to our hotel at about midnight, just in time for a midnight snack.
"Hello, room service..."

This is what we had to face every time we got out of the elevator. We were like little kids, stuffing our jacket pockets with tootsie rolls and smarties. Go Ritz-Carlton, we love you!

Our view was the best. Right out our window was the Hudson River, not to mention the Statue of Liberty! It was b-e-a-utiful! Plus there was a complimentary telescope. Again, Go Ritz! Customers for life (a girl can dream, right?)...

My Sweet Spot in NYC

David and I decided to take a quick break from Arizona and have been in NYC for 4 days now and it has been amazing! New York has always seemed to have some strange, magical pull over me. The first time I came here was about 8 years ago and I fell head over heels in love with this city. This is my fourth time here and there is still so much to see and do. However, I have been re-doing a few of my favorite things since it's my husband's first trip!

One of my favorite spots here is Dylan's Candy Bar. It is the cutest/biggest/sweetest candy store I have ever been in.

I discovered this place 4 years ago with some great friends, Jamie & Chelsey.

*this is us, fresh out of hich school! one of my best memories!

This time around...

It was so fun in there! I could have spent about 3 hours there an probably $300, good thing David was with me to save me from myself.
